This Strategy has been developed to guide the transformation of the industry into a viable, modern and commercial industry. The strategy focuses on four broad investment areas to achieve its goal namely: Increasing production and productivity of the hives; Strengthening the capacity of various institutions involved in the value chain; Increasing access to structured markets and; Promoting hive products- based cottage industries. These interventions will go a long way in the development of the value chain.
